The project concerns re-powering of dated wind energy converters (WECs) at Thykkvibaer. Pylons for new WECs are erected on top of existing foundations. exa nordic has been responsible for structural design of adaptations of the  foundations and design management.

The height of the new WECs will be about 6 m lower than old WECs and with same rotor diameter. Thanks to new technology, however, the new WECs will yield 50% more energy, i.e. 1.8 MW compared to 1.2 MW.
